Chief Pharmacy Officer/Director of Pharmacy and Medicines Optimisation for Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB)

In the past 20+ years, I have worked in practically all sectors of pharmacy, including working in commissioning, as Head of Medicines Optimisation at NHS Vale of York Clinical Commissioning Group, GP Practices as a practice pharmacist; community pharmacy; hospital pharmacy; and in education and training as a teacher practitioner at the University of Bradford and as a regional professional training manager.

2014 – 2019 - NICE Medicines and Prescribing Associate.

In 2019, I was awarded the Nye Bevan Award in Executive Healthcare Leadership, and I qualified as an ILM 5 Coach and Mentor and also became a Council Member for PrescQIPP.

In 2021, I worked as a Non-Executive Director - NExT Director Scheme at Harrogate District Hospital Foundation Trust.

In 2022, I became an Inclusive Pharmacy Practice (IPP) Advisory Board Member.

In 2024, I became an Independent Expert Member of the UK Pharmacy Professional Leadership Advisory Board.

I have also completed the NEYLA Leadership for Integrated Care Programme, Health Innovation Network Communities of Practice Leadership Development Programme, Pharmacy Management Academy Clinical Leadership in Pharmacy, NHS Leadership Academy Future Clinical Commissioning Leaders Programme, and a Clinical Diploma – Medicines Management in Primary Care.
